Tyran Brown is an emerging Hip-Hop artist from Inglewood, California. Tyran attended the University of Nevada, Las Vegas where he studied marketing, and attained the necessary theoretical and practical ammunition to execute his entrepreneurial aspirations. In 2010, Brown hit a pivoting point in his career by creating an anthem for the UNLV’s basketball team. “I’m A Rebel” rapidly became a local hit and at the demand of numerous listened.
It all came together on his first project entitled Road II Da Riches, which showcased his fluid style, sartorial flair, and undeniably stamped Brown’s signature fire rhymes. Road II Da Riches was marketed and promoted by Brown Bag Entertainment, Tyran’s very own company. Additionally, throughout his career the young entrepreneur has performed at renowned locations such as the Key Club in Hollywood and the Las Vegas Hilton Hotel and has had the opportunity to be the opening act for artists including Too $hort, Kendrick Lamar, and Eric Bellinger; as well as co-headlining a concert with Ty Dolla $ign and Casey Veggies.
Tyran’s career thrives from his lethal combination of talent and intrepid hustle. Demonstrating his versatility as a songwriter, Brown received his first official writing credit for contributing to Wiz Khalifa’s song “Fall Asleep”. His participation as a co-host for the Emerge Fashion Show during the 2012 New York Fashion Week displayed his charismatic personality. That same year, while participating at the ASCAP Expo, one of his songs was selected to be played for executives; among which was G.O.O.D. Music spoken word artist Malik Yusef, who would later be instrumental in Brown’s professional endeavors. Furthermore, in 2013, one of his breakthrough songs was placed in the movie “Gutshot Straight” starring George Eads and Steven Seagal.
With five-time Grammy Award-winning Malik Yusef as his mentor, Brown has learned a plethora of fundamental ingredients to enhance his artistic formula. His most recent project, #HardWork, was created with Yusef’s guidance and direct assistance. The first single “MEEE” featuring Malik Yusef is a genuine hit with a standout flow in which the duo projects great creative direction. The 13-song body of work offers a variety of songs that display the young artist’s ability to find the keyhole that unlocks new levels originality and art.
Presently, Tyran Brown is hard at work in the studio creating his next EP. Poised to grab the spotlight by putting together an ambitious and cohesive collection, Brown promises to stand out among the next batch of hungry rappers that rises up to the occasion.
